- I recently purcased some old hand planes and would like to find out
- their quality and or value. Two of them are Baily planes and one I
- can not make out the whole name. I can make out the last three letters
- as ENT. The first four are hard but look like they may be BARG. Was
- there ever a tool company by the name BARGENT?
-
- The "BARGENT" is a 24" X 3" plane. One of the Bailey planes is
- 22" X 3" (No. 7). The other Bailey is a 9" (No. 4) smoothing plane
- Both Bailey's have the following info: PAT'D MAR-25-02 AUG-19-02,
- cap irons patented in 1867 by Bailey, and stanley patented frogs.

- Thanxs in advance.
