  19. In his "Biscuit Joiner Handbook", Hugh Foster claims that microwaving
  20. biscuits to dry them out makes them more brittle.

  22. He says that after microwaving he was able to snap a biscuit in his
  23. fingers, which he wasn't able to do before. Now, I've been able to snap
  24. biscuits fresh out of the box (they snap easily if you bend them along
  25. the grain), and the book is about the worst woodworking book I own, so
  26. perhaps there's nothing to this.
