  18. I've used the technique successsfully several times.  I "cook" the
  19. wood on medium for short periods, say, 2 minutes, and then let the
  20. wood cool a bit before repeating.  I have had some minor scorching,
  21. but that's all.  The reason is:  I WATCH THE PROCESS.  Be prepared
  22. to hit the STOP switch if you see or smell smoke.
