- Yes, a couple people cracked the first 10000 codes, and wrote a program
- to do it. They were contacted by the VCR Plus people who threateened to sue.
- The guys who wrote the program thought they had a very good case after legal
- council and people offered to be their lawyers for free. One of the guys
- who wrote the program said he definitely *could* be bought. that is, if the
- VCR Plus people pay them enough, they will not keep fighting and will keep
- their program from being distributed. (It used to be on ftp sites).
