  16. Yup, it's time again..

  18.     Yes, a couple people cracked the first 10000 codes, and wrote a program
  19. to do it. They were contacted by the VCR Plus people who threateened to sue.
  20. The guys who wrote the program thought they had a very good case after legal
  21. council and people offered to be their lawyers for free.  One of the guys 
  22. who wrote the program said he definitely *could* be bought. that is, if the
  23. VCR Plus people pay them enough, they will not keep fighting and will keep
  24. their program from being distributed. (It used to be on ftp sites).

  26.     that's the last I heard.  Now this is being saved into a file
  27. so I can post it the next time someone asks this (2 days or so?) and not
  28. retype it again... This is a much less detailed version than I've posted
  29. before..
