- If you look at the book for VCR+, PBS has been assigned VCR+ channel 1. In
- setting up your VCR+ controller you need to tell it which station you want
- to be your PBS station (I have three to choose from in my area). That is
- another reason to be able to compute our own VCR+ codes.
-
- Now that I have source code to generate VCR+ codes, I will be able to
- program it for various cable programs, etc. that VCR+ codes are not published
- for. Another reason I want this is the VCR+ is a great back up for the
- programming on the VCR. Every go away for a couple of days and come back to
- flashing "12:00" and nothing has been recorded because of a power failure?
- With duplicate programing on your VCR+ you will have all the programs that
- were lost (assuming power was available when the show was actually on).
