- I didn't think I'd get by without an explanation :)
-
- I have two VHS VCR's, one S-VHS VCR, and a LaserDisk with S-Video.
- My TV (a JVC) will only accept external video from its composite
- or its S-Video jacks. If you have plugs in both, it will only
- listen to the S-Video. No problem, I simply use the S-Video outputs
- from my reciever (Pioneer 9700). But the receiver will not convert
- composite to S-Video. Composite In/Composite Out or S In/S Out.
- So in order to reconcile
- 1) Centralized switching control of all video via receiver.
- 2) Receiver inability to convert composite to S-Video.
- 3) Inability of TV to listen composite and S-Video.
-
- I think I have to convert the outputs from my non S-Video video
- components to S-Video before they enter my reciever.
-
- (I guess its pretty clear why I tried to get by without an
- explanation.)

- Is this JVC box you talk about designed for this purpose, or
- is it part of a enhancement system or receiver? JVC sales
- says they don't build any video switchers that do this. Do you
- have a model number?
