  35.     But its chroma resolution still stinks (as it does in all consumer
  36. tape formats).  That's why Betacam with its 330 lines of resolution looks 
  37. better than ED-Beta with its 500 lines of resolution.  I always wondered
  38. why resolution of the chrominance wasn't fixed when manufacturers introduced
  39. new, already incompatible, "super" formats like Hi8, ED-Beta and S-VHS.
  40. Should have gone all the way and done it right.  Thank goodness digital
  41. HDTV is on the horizon and the big difference that exists between consumer
  42. and professional video will disappear just like it did in the world of audio
  43. with its CD and DAT.
