- I was just reading the paper today, and there was an interesting
- article on a company called Virtual Vision, which purports to
- have a viewer put on some glasses, and simulate a "big screen
- television". Has anyone else heard any information on this?
-
- I suppose this could be posted on another group, but the last
- paragraph that caught my eye was the statement that "Sony Corp.
- has previewed a product that would cover both eyes and allow
- viewers to be totally absorbed". (in contrast to VV, which
- allows you see the "real world" as well)
-
- I find this quite fascinating, I doubt the technology is advanced
- enough today, but eventually with one of these goggles I imagine
- you could simulate a massive picture with great detail, and when
- connected with a laserdisc and a pro-logic system you could
- create a real theatre atmosphere!
-
- (the article also mentions VV will be at the CES, is anyone
- going to be there? makes me wish I could go there for that last
- day open to the public!)
