  12. I'm hoping someone might have a cure for this.. . .

  14.     I am now on my second 27" Panasonic TV in a month. The problem
  15. is that the screen seems to be "gaussing" or getting magnetized. The
  16. problem is most noticeable near the corners of the screen. If an all white
  17. picture is being displayed, there will be noticeable areas of gray about
  18. 4" in diameter centered about 3" out of the corners. I can't find any
  19. "de-gaussing" button on the unit (I have seen this on a few Sonys) and
  20. cycling power on the unit doesn't seem to help. I am guessing that the internal
  21. speakers (the "dome sound" system) are either too near the screen, improperly
  22. shielded, or both.

  24. When I brought the first set back the sales person couldn't do much more than  
  25. confirm my suspicions of gaussing and give me another set to try. I really like  
  26. the TV in every other respect, but if I can't find a way to remedy this I'll
  27. be digging a few more pennies out of the bank and getting a Sony.
