-
- The most recent issue of Video magazine says the Sony TR-101
- video camera is one of their Viva Gold (i.e., top) products for
- 1992. A Letter-to-the-Editor of the same issue says that the Yashica
- clone of the TR-101 has excellent Image Stabilization.
-
- The Nikon VN750 I recently bought (Nikon's TR-101 clone...) has a
- stunning difference in image steadiness between Image Stabilization
- turned on and turned off; as an old 35mm still photographer the
- steadiness at the equivalent of a 450mm telephoto setting was
- pleasantly shocking.

-
- As an aside, one would -of course- see a difference in image
- stabilization at wide and telephoto settings of a lens...a one degree
- jitter (say in azimuth) is a significant portion of a telephoto view
- (especially if you're cranked all the way out) compared to a wide-angle
- view where one degree is insignificant.
