  13. I just purchased A CCD-TR81 camcorder but I have a question about the EDIT
  14. switch.  What exactly does this beast do.  The owners manual said that when
  15. you have the camcorder's output connected to another VCR's inputs and you
  16. wish to edit onto the VCR you must have this switch in the EDIT ON position.
  17. But it goes on to state that if you are copying from the camcorder to the
  18. VCR but not editing to leave it off.  What's the difference?  When you are
  19. editing you are really copying a portion from the camcorder to the VCR.  Can
  20. someone please explain this to me.  Reply by email please.
