  13.      I had have read a few notes concerning the new Sony CCD TR-101
  14. handy cam camera. Apparently Sony has placed an imbargo on the mail
  15. ordering of this camera. Sony states that they want to hold the fixed price
  16. of 1599.00 through retail stores, and not allow any mail ordering of this
  17. camera until mid 1993. From my info gathering I found this to be very true
  18. with the exception of some grey market activity.

  20.      I personally purchased one of these cameras from a reputable mail
  21. order house at the beginning of December. The camera is USA warranted
  22. and they are a Sony Authorized dealer. I called them back to order some
  23. Hi-8 tapes and spoke to the fellow that sold me the camera and asked him
  24. what the deal was with the mail order imbargo as I had just bought the 
  25. camera 3 weeks prior from him. He stated it was true that they cannot 
  26. openly sell any of these mail order anymore because of Sonys mail
  27. order freeze. However, I mentioned that a friend was interested in the
  28. same camera and wanted the same "good" price I had recieved. He stated
  29. that he would honor this as long as "my friend" mentioned my last name
  30. so he could refer to the invoice.

  32.      So..my friends if you are seriously "ready" to purchase one of 
  33. these TR-101's Email me and I'll give you the details.

  35. P.S. I forgot to mention that the price I paid was 1249.00/NO TAX/3% shipping
  36.      Oh..and by the way I have absolutley no affiliation with the dealer.
