- my news reader still teased me with the "subject" line), but
- someone was apparently asking what kind of beast the Commodore
- 2080 monitor is.

- The 2080 is very similar to the Commodore 1080 and 1084 monitors
- (analog and digital RGB video inputs, separate Chroma and Luma
- baseband video inputs, audio input, etc.), but the 2080 uses a long
- persistance phospher. This helps eliminate the flicker of
- interlaced video, but causes areas of rapid motion to look blurred.
- If you'll be viewing static images such as single frames from a
- laserdisc of artwork, you'll enjoy a smoother picture. Fast-action
- movies will get that artsy "simulated motion" smearing of the image.
