- I have to disagree with this advice. Paris
- is itself a beautiful romantic city with many small charming
- hotels. Fontainbleau is a nice town but it is hardly aconvenient
- base for coming into Paris everyday. I have friends who commute
- there to work everyday and trust me its not a great commute
- and if you eat dinner in Paris it is not going to be fun to go
- out to Fontainbleau by train every night nor will you
- want to spend all your evenings in Fontainbleau
-
- If you MUST stay out of Paris stay somewhere on the metro or RER
- but frankly I don't know why yu would stay out side of Paris.
-
- Stay in Paris in some nice little hotel
- and then take a few days and stay somewhere in the country.
-
- There are chrming places as close as Joigny in Burgandy or
- even closer toward the Loire.
-
- But if you want to be wandering by the Seine with your wife in
- the evening then stay in Paris.
