- While visiting Amsterdam in Apr91, I stayed at a place called THE SHELTER.
- Its one of the cheapest I could get (US$8 per night - don't know if the
- figure is still valid). The place is excatly what its name suggest, all it
- does is to prvide a shelter. No frills.
-
- The place is a dorm-style accomodation with about 50 beds in a room (a hall
- rather). Its pretty "international" with Japanese, Hispanics, African, East
- Asians, Chinese, etc. all under one roof. Its a good place to stay if you're
- about to write a thesis on THE SLEEPING HABITS OF PEOPLE ALL OVER or 101 TYPES
- of FOOT ODOUR.
-
- The Shelter is also just a stones throw from the infamous Red Light district of
- A.
-
- Have a great trip.
