- I wonder how the max suspended weight factors are determined for various
- canopies. I noticed that the numbers for all the Sabres are very close
- to 1.1 lbs/sq. ft. For example, the maximum suspended weight for a
- Sabre 135 is listed as 148.5 lbs. It's my impression that most people
- who jump Sabres load them far more than 1.1. The new Nova's are
- advertised as requiring *at least* 1.2 wing loading to begin to
- perform. Is all this a combination of advertizing hype and
- engineering fudge factors? Or is there a sound basis for the
- difference in loading factors given for various canopies?
