  11. I am looking for a new pair of backcountry touring/telemarking boots.
  12. They will be used primarily for touring, with some lift served skiing,
  13. on a pair of old Elan REs. I am looking for a boot a bit stiffer than the
  14. one I now use, and the Snowdrift felt good in the shop, but it seemed to
  15. be too stiff in the sole, ie I'm not convinced I could get a good kick
  16. from it. The sales geek said it would soften up, but quite frankly,
  17. I don't trust him.

  19. Can anyone confirm (or deny) the suitability of this boot for what I want to
  20. do?
