  14. I had fun reading the "snowboard sucks" debate in this newsgroup.

  16. Mind you enjoyment is a very personnal thing. But I have never had such a gliding/
  17. surfing/carving feeling like the one I had once I went down on my first complete
  18. downhill ride on a board. 
  19. it's too bad the sport has been picked up by teeny boppers who want to rule the world
  20. while listening to some weirdo punk rock band, with pet shop haircuts and the
  21. "birth defect" look. It the "rebel's sport"... I really don't USE snowboard to make
  22. a point.

  24. Even as a boarder, I was once sweared at by one of those. One snow board can do alot
  25. of damage. But of course I didn't do anything.

  28.  I enjoy skiing in the trees
  29. more than any other types of skiing but have never seen a snowboarder
  30. in the trees. I would find it hard to believe that they could follow me in
  31. the trees do to the radius of their turns. Do snowboarder's do the trees,
  32. just curious, do not mean to put any one down. I thought the guys/gals on
  33. the boards really looked graceful coming down the open bowls, easily the
  34. best people I've ever seen on boards.

  37. snowboards look and ARE far more elegant in powder and corduroy. not mentionning
  38. air techniques.. I agree trees and bumps are a bit heavy, and a boarder does not "flow"
  39. as well as a skier. But I've followed lever 3 skiers in mogul runs. a board is not
  40. a handicap...
