- Same way your refrigerator works: expansive cooling. The basic idea is
- that water and air are pumped to the "gun". As the pressurized air/water
- mixture exits the gun it rapidly expands and therefore cools...presto:
- instant snow!

- Unfortunately, since this is not the "normal" mechanism for the formation
- of snow crystals (it's quite a bit more violent and rapid than what goes
- on in the atmosphere) the "snow" that is formed is very very fine...no
- big pretty flakes. Ask Eugene about snow physics.
