  10. In answer to those of you who post "anyone know what the conditions are like
  11. in xyz, I'm going there for Christmas", can I suggest calling Ski Hotline.

  13. Ski Hotline provide accurate, up-to-date reports of snow and weather
  14. conditions at over 140 European and North American resorts.  All reports are
  15. compiled from 'on the ground' sources and are updated every day.  IMHO, the
  16. information is informative and accurate and not biased by being sponsored by
  17. a tour company who are trying to convince you to book a holiday.  The
  18. information includes snow depths, number of lifts/pistes open, whether links
  19. to other resorts are open, plus weather prospects and freezing levels for the
  20. next 24 hours.

  22. There are two ways to access the information.  Say you want to know the
  23. information for St.  Anton, dial the number for Austria P-Z and say "yes
  24. please" when you hear St.  Anton on the menu.  Alternatively, if you have a
  25. tone phone and are connected via a digital exchange, dial 0891 881 900 then
  26. dial the 3 digit number for the resort of your choice when prompted to do so.
  27. I have included the complete list of resorts below.  It is fairly
  28. comprehensive, file it away somewhere and there will be no excuses for
  29. incorrect spellings of Kitsbuhel in future postings :-)

  31. The numbers are UK given in UK format.  I have no idea if you can dial an
  32. 0891 number from outsize the UK, but if you can it would be +44 891....
