  11. My SO bought me a new pair of skis for Christmas (yes I got them
  12. early!).  The original ticket price was $565 Can and I got them
  13. for $199 Can.  They're Hagen Classic RC's.  The salesman assured
  14. us that I was getting a great ski as well as a great deal.  It's
  15. not the price that concerns me, but all I now about Hagen
  16. skis is that they're European.  Anybody have experience with these
  17. skis?  They have a wood core rather than a foam core and are
  18. supposed to be ideal for hard packed powder and icy conditions
  19. which is what I see most in my area.  He also told me not to waste
  20. money on buying new bindings since mine are in perfect condition
  21. so, we figure he was honest if he didn't encourage us to spend more
  22. money in his store.

  24. By the way, I'm an intermediate skier and I ski simply for fun, 
  25. therefore, I'm not bothered if they're last year's model.
