  12. I bought my wife an Oceanic Datamax Sport for Christmas, when
  13. I went to buy it I found out a few things that may be of interest
  14. to other people on the net.

  16. 1) The "New" model has a variable ascent rate indicator, graph
  17. style with the green, yellow, red color scheme like the rest
  18. of the computer.

  20. 2) In a couple of months Oceanic is going to bring out an improved
  21. version in which the battery is user replaceable. According to
  22. the salesman (please concider the source), Oceanic is going to
  23. swap out exisiting Datamax Sports for the new improved (user replaceable
  24. battery version) for a "nominal" cost. When I find out more details
  25. I'll post the info.

  27. 3) F.Y.I. Oceanic no longer has an 800 number :-( I feel that this
  28. is unfortunate because I have always found thier phone service to
  29. be informative and helpful.
