- It's hard to think of a better reason for running in cold weather than
- just that fact you mentioned. Fewer walkers, fewer baby carriages,
- fewer dogs on leashes, and fewer non-biker bikers. Also, fewer non-runner
- (hardcore-ish) runners who hog the paths. It's great! Except the freezing
- rain really is.

-
- Let's face it, most of us are addicted, running wack-os! It's a compliment.
- It means you are really doing something good for yourself and the civilians
- are really jealous. Runners don't need to make New Years' resolutions,
- unless it's to be less critical of others (unless you use it as a defense
- mechanism, or as a way of psychological motivation). How many of you have
- a calendar in your office that you can stare at to get motivated? Espicially
- one with good photographs like Runner's World calendar.
-
- Also, kudos to the new John Jerome 1993 running log -- the useless previous
- three months from Oct. to Dec. are now finally gone! No more wasted paper.
