  14. One problem with this suggestion is that there are some sites, ours
  15. included, which do not get the "alt.xxx" newsgroups (except alt.sources and
  16. alt.sys.sun).  Our computer facility administration decided that there was
  17. too much chaos and anarchy in the alt.xxx groups and it was not possible to
  18. get only those groups that people here felt were useful (I'm not sure how
  19. we arranged to get alt.sources, but there were a bunch of us that felt
  20. there was a lot of good stuff we had gotten there), so they exclude ALL the
  21. alt groups.

  23. If there were an alternative access method such as an FTP site and perhaps
  24. a mail-server for those without Internet access, that would be fine.

  26. Of course, I don't know what to do with these strange format pictures on my
  27. Sun anyhow, so it's only of academic interest at present.
