- A very interesting observation. Let me extend it. I'm sure you agree
- that you have no right to interfere with another individual based on
- your value system. Anti-abortion arguments often rest on the
- assumption that a fetus is an individual with a right to life that
- cannot be taken away. Similarly, anti-declawing arguments often rest
- on the assumption that a cat is an individual with a right to possess
- claws that cannot be taken away. The endlessness of the debates is
- due to the difficulty of proving/disproving these assumptions.
