  34. DT┤like a folktale.  I know for a fact, however, that our
  35. DT┤13-month-old (!) Bombay female Gina has broken-off whiskers
  36. DT┤on one side right now and I know that her mama is responsible
  37. DT┤for it.  I'm annoyed about it because we're trying to campaign
  38. DT┤Gina on the TICA circuit, and she's supposed to look perfect.

  40.         That's a very interesting peculiarity that I didn't know about
  41.         cats (mothers biting off the youngster's whiskers).  I'll have
  42.         to keep an eye out.

  44.         Someone else posted that perhaps my son might indeed be
  45.         responsible - but I doubt it.  He loves those cats at least as
  46.         much as I do.  (And I'm hopeless: if I have to go somewhere
  47.         urgently, and one of them crawls up on my lap, I'm there until
  48.         they decide to leave).  <G>
