- I thought the distinction was between mackeral and the so
- called classic, or bulls-eye tabbies. Mackeral tabby
- markings are basically linear, and the classic markings
- occur in circular patches. Doesn't the tortise-shell simply
- refer to a fairly specific combination of colors? ?Black,
- orange, and white?
