  10. When my black kitty, Orpheus died, Spooky and I had a very hard time
  11. adjusting and I was crying myself to sleep every night.  I felt very
  12. guilty because I hadn't caught his renal problems until I took him to
  13. the vet for his annual checkup and found out his kidneys had shut down.
  14. Anyway, one night while Spooky was curled in my arms in bed, we felt a
  15. thump on the bed and something laid across my ankles and started
  16. purring.  This was Orpheus' spot to sleep at night.  
  17. I'd like to think he came to visit to let us know he was still around. 
  18. It made me feel alot better and Spooky didn't cry around the house as
  19. much after that visit.  I still miss him and Spooky and I haven't gotten
  20. a new kitty yet. But I think after the New Year my husband and I will
  21. start visiting animal shelters,
  22. looking for that little someone to be our companion and Spooky's new buddy.
