  17. One of my cats had the same type of problem.  There are a couple of things
  18. you can try that I think might have helped.
  19.  
  20. One thing is to make sure there is plenty of FRESH water available, 
  21. especially if the cat eats only dry food.  I had one of those automatic
  22. water bowls that always kept the bowl filled.  I noticed she was not 
  23. drinking from it (she would sniff it, and walk away).  I assumed it was
  24. not fresh enough, so I now put out fresh water twice a day.

  26. Another thing to try is a good dose of hairball medicine.

  28. When I did these things, the problem cleared up (although it could have
  29. been a coincidence).
