- Well, our Christmas tree is up and still standing. Ornaments are intact.
- Garland is still hanging fine, no one has gotten electricuted trying to eat
- the lights. Everything was going fine until....Mommy watered the tree!!!
- After which I hear this little splash, splash noise. I look under the tree to
- see Merlin, my little black terror, happily splashing all the water out of the
- tree stand onto the nice, used to be dry, carpeting. I yell, "Merlin! Stop
- that!" and I'm greeted with a look that says, "But Mommy I'm saving the tree
- from the evil water". As I'm not about to crawl under the *huge* tree and
- drag him out twenty times, I just put a towel around the tree stand and let
- him at it. A half hour later my kitty emerged, paws soaking wet and water
- dripping of his little face. He looked like he lost the battle until I
- checked the tree. Oh well.......
