- We used to leave our cats for 2-3 weeks at Christmas during college,
- but we always had someone to check on them for every day (at least
- thats how often they were supposed to do it!). If you leave your
- cats at home I STRONGLY encourage you to hide anything that they
- can destroy! Everytime we leave ours for a week or more they seem
- to get mad and do bad things -- like eat & knock over plants, knock
- over lamps, eat the couch..... (there were pieces missing, and ours
- have a history of eating strange things).
-
- We have traveled with our cats too. When they were 4-5 months we
- moved from Colorado to Florida; they were in a crate most of the
- time (we let them out once and almost wrecked, so that was that).
- This summer we moved from Florida to Idaho and kept the cats in
- crates (separate, this time). They were much less thrilled now
- that they are older. They never use the litter box (we stopped
- every 2 hours to let them go and to walk the dog), and they weren't
- interested in water. Our cats are purebred so I think they're a
- little more high-strung than most cats, so hopefully you won't
- stress your kittens out as much if you do travel. We were really
- worried about them, and they were just being stupid.
-
-
- Good luck!
