  10. Hi Ferret Lovers,

  12. I have been considering for some time marketing ferret stuff.  I am
  13. all too aware that there is a great lack of ferret memorabilia out there, 
  14. and since statistics show that ferrets are the 3rd most common pet - 
  15. I think we need some more. 
  16.  
  17. So far, I have toyed with everything from shrinky-dinks to pastel drawings
  18. of ferrets.  I can draw and paint ferrets - and it is enjoyable.  My    
  19. limitation, however, is the lack of ferrets to draw and paint.  I have
  20. too lovely females - both sables.  My only other source is the ferret books 
  21. I own.  They, however, often use the exact same pictures, so once again 
  22. my sources are limited (and I think I have drawn just about every ferret 
  23. in those books.)  My other limitation is that I have a cheap 
  24. camara that only takes distance pictures - all close-ups become blurred 
  25. and distorted.

  27. I don't have time to market stuff large scale.  So, it would be more like
  28. a hobby.  Right now, I do things for myself and friends who have ferrets
  29. (they make great gifts - drawings and paintings that is).  
  30.  
  31. What I ask of all of you is this - do any of you have any good ideas for
  32. ferret memorabilia?  I have seen t-shirts, and know of one other person
  33. that has done some really excellent etchings of ferrets.  I haven't seen
  34. much else though (I was excited when someone recently found porcelain
  35. ferret/ermine figurines)!

  37. Also, if any of you have any good ferret pictures that you could send me,
  38. (donate to me) either to keep or to use temporarily (I would send them back
  39. to you), that would be really wonderful.

  41. Close-ups as well as whole body pictures (these are usually harder for me
  42. to find) would be greatly appreciated.

  52. So, if you have any ideas - I can't do porcelain or sculptures because I
  53. don't have the equipment, but am open to any suggestions you might have,
  54. (unique ones especially - like shrinky dinks or other less used media)

  57. If you would like me to design/ make something for you (or as a gift for 
  58. someone else) let me know.  Chances are, in this case, I will need some 
  59. pictures to work off of.  Depending on the number of requests I get (if any)
  60. will depend on the time needed, etc.
