- As a matter of fact, I don't know why the Hussites lost, or whether they

- remember reading that they did defeat quite a few enemies, and did hold out
- for a while, but I wouldn't bet the rent money on any actual figures.

- One trouble with wagon-fortresses as used by the Hussites and others
- (Notably the Russians and Teutonic Knights, I believe; I'm not posting from
- where my references are) is that they are extremely easy meat for any sort
- of artillery. They do provide dandy cover against small arms, and against
- cavalry charges.
