- Top Mover: "Deeper And Deeper" - Madonna (#23 to #12)
- Off: "Love Is On The Way" - Saigon Kick (504)
- Oldie: "I'd Die Without You" - P.M. Dawn (14 weeks)
-
- Notes: * Whitney Houston's cover of the Dolly Parton song "I Will
- Always Love You" maintains its firm clasp on the #1 spot
- for the third consecutive week. Boyz II Men's "In The Still
- Of The Nite (I'll Remember)" is stuck at #2 and would
- normally be an easy #1 pick, but will probably not be
- strong enough to usurp the hit from _The Bodyguard_ at the
- top.
- * Shai's a capella "If I Ever Fall In Love", Shanice's "Saving
- Forever For You" from the _Beverly Hills 90210_ soundtrack,
- and "Faithful" from the British duo Go West make strong
- moves into the Top 10, while Madonna's "Deeper And Deeper"
- surges from #23 and #12. However, even Madonna may be unable
- to knock Whitney Houston's hit from the top.
- * For the first time since 1990, when Gloria Estefan's "Don't
- Wanna Lose You" debuted, there is only one new song to the
- chart this week - Michael Jackson's "Heal The World".
- * The chart is remarkably stagnant this week, with only one
- song outside the Top 10 ("Deeper And Deeper") making more
- than a six place gain. It will be frozen during the holiday
- week, as will other charts such as Billboard's Hot 100.
