- For a single volume reference I would suggest Willi Apel's Harvard Dictionary
- of Music (the revised edition is OK, but the original was better in
- many ways). I'm not familiar with the Concise Grove, but that is
- because I always use the non-concise one.

- To avoid having to read all of rec.music.classical.thisrecordingisbetterthan
- thatone you can get a threaded news reader like nn or trn. Makes all
- of the difference in the world :-)
