- As for 7 year old Humbrol - it depends on the container.
-
- I've sucessfully used humbrol that was older than that, but it was either
- in factory-sealed tins or transferred to glass during the long wait.
-
- You'll know when you try to use it. Even if there's still liquid
- present, sometimes it just wont shake/stir properly. I'd advise anyone
- with aged paint of any brand to put in into one of those paint-shakers
- (or make one from a pad-sander) for quite some time before opening it.
- If you're spraying, then I also reccommend letting it sit for a while
- after shaking. Stirring does not add as many bubbles as shaking, but
- shaking does not fool you by making bad paint *seem* to mix.
-
- I've also had Humbrol that was bad the day I bought it, which is why I
- essentially always immediately put it into Polly-S/Floquil bottles.
- If shaking sounds OK and it's _never_ been opened, then I think the
- tin's probably fine.
