  17. Does Estes still sell that plastic fin jig?  That one is pretty good.

  19. For a simple fin jig that you can even use in the field, take a piece
  20. of L-shaped corner moulding, orient it point-up, and run it the long
  21. way down a table saw for a few inches, right through the point.  You 
  22. can make a dozen of these from one moulding, varying the width of the 
  23. slot to accommodate different fin thicknesses.  To use, set the body 
  24. tube in the V, stick the fin in the slot, and glue.
