  16. Well, fellers, what I'm now told is that FAA approval for the Lubbock site
  17. had been merely VERBAL, and that the problem came up when trying to get
  18. the formal written approval. Apparently that is not to say that the
  19. written approval won't actually be forthcoming, but might just be balled
  20. up in bureacratic red tape or something.

  22. At any rate, it seems that the site was changed back to Lawrenceville
  23. because the practical time frame to make the site decision had expired.
  24. And, it was suggested to me, that Lubbock may still well end up the site
  25. of the 94 Nats. Let's hope so.

  29. Nothing against Lawrenceville (I'm a native Illinoisian myself), but I'd
  30. like to see the Nats at a more geographically centered site, or better
  31. yet, rotated between a set of such sites. I know it will end up costing
  32. our AMA a few more bucks, but it would be more interesting and competitive I
  33. think. Just MHO.
