  15. I first heard this story in Montreal in 1973, the last time I ran into this
  16. story was in 1976 when my philosophy prof at UofM (Manitoba) put it in context
  17. of cause, effect and the mind.  I'm paraphrasing "You heard of that woman lif-
  18. ting that car to save her child but you don't hear of the damage she did to
  19. her vertebrates.."  I don't know his sources but I wonder if this story is
  20. an urban myth along with "this bridge/dam/skyscraper/beer vat has a worker 
  21. buried in the foundations because they couldn't retreive him when he fell in."
