- (Deleted discussion about whether to stay or exit auto when confronted
- with hammer wielding assailant on passenger side.)
-
- WH> Actually, staying in the car is what you want to do.
- WH>As long as you're inside you're not only relatively safe from
- attack,
- WH>but control one of the most powerful weapons ever invented.
-
- Amen, check the yearly highway death stats.
-
- WH>If someone tries to get in the driver's door all you have to do is
- WH>open the door and hit him with it...
-
- Bad idea. Just floor the gas pedal...the longer the attacker
- hangs on, the worse it's going to be for him when he comes loose
- (and he will).
-
- WH> Once the car's pointed in a safe direction you can easily escape...
-
- Even if you involve a third party (i.e., have a wreck) in your escape
- attempt, it's most likely going to hurt the assailant hanging on the
- side of your car worse than it does you. (Pragmatically speaking,
- the third party picked a bad night to be out...)
