- Even will all the high-tech stuff that can be found on the kite field,
- and the demands and trials of competitive flying, I still find kites
- and flying a simple pleasure.
-
- There is nothing quite like a gentle breeze at my back and a firm tug
- on the line to make the daily tensions dissolve away.
-
- When I take a new kite onto the field to try it out, it's just like
- when I was a boy. I'm excited and I'm nervous. I wonder how well the
- kite will fly. And when it does rise into the air, I feel a great deal
- of joy, whether it flies well or not, it doesn't matter.
-
- It's magic.
-
- Thank you all for making kites more fun and more exciting. I look
- forward to the New Year with much anticipation and excitement.
-
- May the New Year bring long days of gentle breezes and magic in the
- air.
