- Injuries are possible from repetitive motions in juggling, common ones
- being tendonitis and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. My orthopedist gave me
- a couple reccomendations to avoid these
- 1) vary the practice/routine to bring different motions in fairly
- frequently. I was advised not to go more than about 15 min without
- a change, but thats me.
- 2) listen to your body. If it hurts, rest. Note that there are different
- kinds of hurt and some kinds are just saying that you are getting
- excercise, and others are saying you are getting injured
- 3) warm up
- 4) don't lock up your joints (esp wrist) for fear of getting a pull or
- sprain from impoact
- 5) conversly, don't let your joints be too loose for fear of getting an
- injury from hyperextention
-
- and 6) (this is mine) if you are getting joint pain, you can try changing
- your technique to lessen injury (for me, changing my club technique
- really lessened my tendonitis)
-
- most of all, use your head.
