- I too, have a wonderful wife, who got me torches. 11 p.m. Christmas Eve
- night, sub-freezing temperature and a bitter wind, no jacket, no gloves,
- just me and my new torches in the front yard. Hard to get fingers to
- work in the cold, but the torches warmed me a little. There's nothing
- like flaming pins to impress others and yourself. The whoosh of the
- flame spinning by is exhilarating!

- I've learned 4-ball in the past semester (what else would I do in my
- first semester of grad school?). I've noticed that time seems
- slower now. Either the gravitational constant has changed, the Earth's
- mass has decreased, or my brain is working quicker.
