- I had to have a ruling on my "company" a few years back.
- I had none of the things you mention, and only two clients.
- The only real question they asked me was whether or not I would
- have asked for extra money if the software installation I did
- had taken longer than I had expected. If I had said "yes",
- they would have ruled that I was an employee of the client
- rather than a private company contracting to do a specific
- job for a predetermined price, and therefore would have had
- to have CPP, UI, income tax, etc. withheld by the employer.
