  22. Well, who better than me to suggest tapes that I like (g>?  With that, here's
  23. a brief overview of the tapes available now:

  25.     1988:  The first real video (there was one in 1984, which I have, but
  26.     the quality is very poor and I doubt that real copies are around.
  27.     It is fun, however, to see Dan Bennett and others way back when...)
  28.     Anyway, on to the tape.  This is a good overview of the ideas and
  29.     some brief history of conventions and how we got to the kinds of
  30.     conventions we have now.  Good performances from The Phillipine
  31.     Pride Jugglers, The Gizmo Guys, Peter Davison, and others.  The
  32.     video and sound quality is good also.  Special interest items:
  33.     A great montage for Club Renegade, and watching Waldo throw knives
  34.     at Robert Nelson.  I recommend this one.

  36.     Airborne! (1989):  Ok, but not the greatest.  The move toward the
  37.     more "artistic" side wasn't so hot, but getting Anthony on tape
  38.     doing 7 torches was worth something.  Overall, this one is pretty
  39.     weak.  If you're not a junkie like me, you can skip this one.

  41.     1990:  First year for the "real" 2-tape stuff.  The highlights
  42.     tape is ok, but it had a tendency to drag a little bit.  The 
  43.     championships tape is superb, however.  The juggling is good and
  44.     the video quality is excellent.  This is a good choice.

  46.     1991:  This is the best highlights tape in recent times.  It's
  47.     a good overview, covers the important stuff well, and I like the
  48.     way the narration is done and combined with the images.  The
  49.     Club Renegade stuff suffers from poor video quality, as do the
  50.     staged events, but then, it wasn't much of a stage compared with
  51.     other years, so it's not that bad.  The highlights tape is good,
  52.     but the quality isn't that grand, as mentioned above.  The best
  53.     part of the championships tape, IMO, is Tuey Wilson's club 
  54.     swinging routine to Eddie Van Halen's "Eruption".  Good stuff.

  65. point is, it's a pity that it's not there, it IS hysterically funny.
