- Arizona does have doe hunts from time to time. You are correct that
- bowhunters could harvest does or bucks in the past, that changed two
- or three years ago. In the Kaibab, there have been several does hunts
- for rifle hunters. We (my family) have gone up there a few times in
- the past for the doe hunts. It was a easy draw (we have a lottery for
- large game tags) and the meat was tender and tasty. Your are correct
- that the doe hunts are part of managing the herd populations.
