  20. Personally, if i had a choice, i'd rather have mountains and fjords
  21. than Queen Elizabeth.  (Actually, we have a King and Queen ourselves.
  22. Hardly anyone notices because they're so boring, which is actually the
  23. way i like them.)  A few reasons:

  25. -Mountains and fjords never make speeches.
  26.  
  27. -They never ask for a salary.
  28.  
  29. -Their houses never burn down.
  30.  
  31. -No one ever asks them to pay income tax.
  32.  
  33. -No one ever makes big-ear jokes about them.
  34.  
  35. -They never get state visits from Nancy Reagan, or anyone else.
  36.  
  37. -They never, ever, say things like "1992 is not a year on which I
  38. shall look back with undiluted please."
  39.  
  40. -They cost relatively little to maintain.
  41.  
  42. -They don't have marital problems.
  43.  
  44. Most important of all:
  45. -They don't have children.
