  19. I do not know why Naeem has to be so prudish about the whole affair. Looks 
  20. like he is raising a storm in a tea cup. And to top it all, Naeem is *NOT*
  21. even from India, he is from Bangladesh.

  23. People from that part of the world, like myself, will tell you that language
  24. jokes abound in India. Hell, with over 30 languages and over a 1000
  25. dialects we would have to be perfect not to find faults with someone else's
  26. language or let them find fault with ours. Bengali's are often berated
  27. for not speaking Hindi with the proper accent, the great North-South divide
  28. allows North Indian chauvinists to infuriate the Southerners for not 
  29. knowing the national language and of course the Sikhs get the brunt of 
  30. the jokes. I could go on but I think you get the picture. Linguistic and
  31. ethnic jokes are as common in the subcontinent as they are here. So please,
  32. lets stop this bull about the persecuted minority and the effect a joke
  33. on rec.humor will do for ethnic relations.

  36. To all of you out there, stop being apologetic. And Naeem, GET A LIFE. 
  37. Rec.Humor is not the be-all or end-all of your existence. So 
  38. descend from your "holier than thou" moralistic high horse and learn to 
  39. laugh once in a while. And if you still insist in lauching your "jihad",
  40. try the talk.politics newsgroup hierarchy for a change.
