- A request for a poem about trees? Hmmm.. Okay, here goes..
-
- Trees for breakfast
- -------------------
- This morning, my dad,
- Not being very smart,
- In his own right,
- Went hunting in the woods,
- He walked,
- And walked,
- And walked,
- And walked,
- And walked,
- Until he found a big rock,
- Then he knew he was lost,
- He knew he was in trouble,
- He knew he was going to die,
- "Hey, we all go, anyway.."
- He philosophized,
- He screamed at the injustice of life,
- Then he took out his knife,
- And stabbed a rock,
- It wheezed,
- It wasn't a rock,
- It was a blob of gook,
- "Ahhh." My father said,
- "A blob of gook!",
- He stood up,
- Walked over to a tree,
- And took a bite.
-
- ...Ahhh.. A veritable masterpiece. *8)
