  32.     Yeah, every gun that fires a more powerfull cartridge
  33.     than the previous one has this problem. I've heard the
  34.     'excessive recoil and blast' complaint said about 9mm's
  35.     from cops who were used to 38sp's. It's a user problem,
  36.     not a gun problem.

  39.     The reason the FBI dumped the 10mm for a while was that
  40.     they wanted a very-non standard trigger on their SW guns.
  41.     SW had a very hard time engineering the new trigger and
  42.     a substantial fraction of the triggers broke.

  44.     Supposidly the problem is fixed, and the FBI is/will be
  45.     issuing the 10mm's again.
